LTL Podcast Episode 50: Solving the Literacy Puzzle with Norene Bunt

For episode 50, I spoke with Norene Bunt about her recent book, Solving the Literacy Puzzle. Norene has worked in many different positions throughout her career. She was a teacher, a principal, and superintendent. She is currently observing and supporting students who are student teaching.

We begin by discussing what effective literacy instruction looks like and why it matters. Because her book addresses literacy instruction at all grade levels, she shares what should be included in instruction for particular grades. Norene believes that comprehension is the heart of reading and gives suggestions that can be implemented into instruction to strengthen comprehension.

I hope you will give this episode a listen. Additionally, here’s the link to Norene’s book so that you can check it out.
